ABOUT

Stefano Buzzi is a Professor at the Dept. of Electrical and Information Engineering of the University of Cassino and Southern Latium, Italy.

He received the M.Sc. Laurea degree with highest honors in 1994, and a PhD degree in Electrical and Information Engineering in 1999, both from the University of Naples “Federico II”. He spent research sojourns at the Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Princeton University (NJ), in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2006.

Stefano Buzzi is co-author of more than 150 technical papers appeared in journals and in proceedings of international conferences. His most recent research activities, carried out also in collaboration with global players such as Nokia and Huawei, concern massive MIMO technologies, mmWave wireless systems, and cell-free and user-centric networking architectures.

Stefano Buzzi is a member of the editorial board of the IEEE 5G Tech Focus, Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and is a former associate editor of the IEEE Communications Letters and the IEEE Signal Processing Letters; he has also edited three special issues for IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications. He is frequently  member of the Technical Program Committee of several primary international conferences.

Stefano Buzzi has been recently a keynote speaker at the IEEE 5G Summit in Montreal (October 2017) and in Trento (March 2018), a tutorial speaker at European Wireless 2018 (Catania, May 2018), and an invited speaker at the PhD School “5G-CAR V2X Communications” (London, June 2018).
