Lorenzo Mariani has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Leonardo Company on 02ndOctober 2017, reporting to Leonardo CEO.
Lorenzo has got a degree in Electronic Engineering cum laude in 1990.
He served as an Officer of Italian Navy in 1991.
From 1992 to 2002 he worked for Alenia and AMS with the following roles: radar systems analyst, designer of multifunction naval radar and on board integrator, sales manager of the land systems division where he was first responsible for South America and then for Europe and NATO.
From 2002 to 2005 he worked for MBDA, a missile systems joint venture among Finmeccanica, EADS and BAe Systems, where he had the role of Head of Product Strategy.
Since 2006 he has been working for SELEX Sistemi Integrati, where he had the following roles: Responsible for Strategy and Technology Planning (direct reporting to CEO), Head of Engineering (both radar and Software Engineering) and Head of Large Systems Business Unit, where he was Responsible for Homeland Security Systems as well as Homeland Defence C4I systems.
He was Deputy Chief Operating Officer of SELEX Sistemi Integrati from July 2010 until 30 November 2011, Chief Operating Officer from 1st December 2011 until 31st December 2012 and Land & Naval Managing Director of Selex Electronic Systems from 1st January 2013 until 31st December 2015, Managing Director of the Land & Naval Defence Electronics Division in the One Company Leonardo from 1st January 2016 until 30th September 2017.
