Anna Ascani

Anna Ascani is the Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, since 1st March 2021. She is responsible for telecommunications, industrial digital transition, ICT technologies and cooperatives, key elements of the Italian recovery. She has been a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies since 2013 and she has served as Deputy Minister of Education between 2019 and 2021. After several years of political activity, she is currently the Vice-President of the Democratic Party (PD), where she has also been the coordinator of the Culture Department. She holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Trento.
