Mario Nobile
Biography
Mario Nobile has been the General Manager for Information and Statistical Systems of the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport since 2015. He graduated in Civil Engineering and holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering. His career in the public administration sector has led him to hold various management positions in the field of planning and territorial planning and information services, including broadband development programs in Italy. In 2010 he joined the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport, where he initially worked on urban redevelopment programs and housing policies, before moving on to the management and maintenance of real estate in head offices, technologies (including IT) of support and logistic rationalization. Since 2018 he is also the head of the “Technical Observatory for Smart Roads and for the connected vehicle and automatic driving”. Parallel to the posts in the Public Administration, he also had academic roles: from 2001 to 2011 he was a lecturer at the Alma Mater Faculty of Architecture – University of Bologna and he has numerous publications. Since 2019 he has been a lecturer in “Management of digital transformation” at the University of Rome Unitelma Sapienza.
