Biography
Paolo Ravazzani, PhD in Bioengineering, is Research Director of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR). His scientific interests are related to the study of the applications of electromagnetic fields in medicine, to their characterization for biomedical systems and devices, to the study of methods for the assessment of exposure to electromagnetic fields at low frequencies and microwaves, to electromagnetic dosimetry, to the study of the possible impact on health due to the exposure to electromagnetic fields. He served as Scientific Coordinator and participated in numerous European and international scientific projects on the possible interactions between electromagnetic fields and health. Since December 2018 he is Director of the Istituto di Elettronica e di Ingegneria dell’Informazione e delle Telecomunicazioni IEIIT of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.
