Director, Mission structure of the PNRR, Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy

Biography

Born on August 10th, 1973, after a classical education and graduating with a honours degree in Law from the LUISS University in Rome in 1997, she attended a Master’s degree course in Information and Communication Technology with a scholarship from the Apulia Region.

From January 1998 to December 1998, she worked on commercial legislation at Indis – Unioncamere in Rome. In March 1999, she won the 2nd managerial training course at the Higher School of Public Administration, and since May 2002, she has been a second-tier executive, with a position at the Directorate General for electronic communication services, broadcasting, and postal services at the former Ministry of Economic Development (now MIMIT, Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy), where she was responsible for the sector of public and private electronic communication networks and services and emerging technologies.

In addition to briefly dealing with radio and television broadcasting and the postal sector, she is a member of the Advisory Committee established at the Ministry of the Interior pursuant to article 75 bis, paragraph 2, of Legislative Decree August 1, 2003, No. 259 for the implementation of the “112 NUE” and a Member of the Technical Committee of the IT-Alert Service referred to in article 3 of the decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of June 19, 2020, and of the Coordination Committee between the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of the Interior on Private Surveillance Institutes. She was a focal point for the Ecall – Hero pilot project (2010) for the introduction of the Pan-European Ecall under Directive 2010/40/EU. She is an alternate member of the Assembly of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO and a ministerial representative at the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as a former member of the Golden Power Monitoring Committee.

As a member of the Scientific Committee and editor of the journal “Security and Justice,” she deals with issues related to communication security, with a teaching assignment in the Master’s Degree program in “Homeland Security” at Campus Biomedico University in Rome, but she has also taught courses on “Legislation and Economics of Telecommunications and Media” and published on topics related to restrictive practices of competition, abuse of dominant position, oligopolistic markets, misleading advertising, domain names, M2M services, ITS, mobile payments, smart cities, and smart buildings. 

She is a member of the Scientific Committee of MIT Technology Review Italy and the National Observatory for Childhood and Adolescence pursuant to Presidential Decree May 14, 2007, No. 103, the Technical Committee for the development of maritime spatial management plans, as well as the Steering Committee referred to in article 3 of the decree of March 10, 2023, for the enhancement and thematic and territorial extension of technology transfer hubs. 

Currently, she is responsible for the mission structure of the PNRR of MIMIT.
