Biography

Gaetano Buglisi is one of the pioneers of sustainable development in Italy, among the first to understand the potential of renewable energy.

In 2001 he founded what is now Highel Towers, a company specializing in multi-operator network infrastructure.

In 2006 he joined the board of directors of Global Solar Fund Management Italy, currently the second Italian producer of energy from photovoltaic sources, which manages plants, photovoltaics and wind, in several regions especially in southern Italy.

Alongside the renewable energy market, Gaetano Buglisi has a great interest in the world of sustainable agriculture. Since 2011, it has dedicated itself to the recovery of abandoned land to be converted to organic farming and it is with Società Agricola Italiana that it starts the production of organic products such as EVO oil, avocado, pomegranate, lemons and mango.

In January 2020 Buglisi is the protagonist of the acquisition of the assets of the Maccaferri family holding: 100% of Naturalia, a company specialized in the extraction of sugars from fruit; the former sugar sites of Castiglion Fiorentino and Villasor and the small energy company Eva, owner of a wind farm in Basilicata.
