Leonardo Mazzini is Thales Alenia Space in Italy Chief Technical Officer and head of the TAS Research and Technology Development and Product Policy Department.
He has been the TAS Satellite Platforms Product Responsibleand Head of Satellite System Engineering and Technical Director of many Satellite Programs developing many Observation and Telecommunication satellites as the Cosmo SkyMed constellation, Radarsat 2, Sicral 1, Sicral 1B, Sicral 2, Globalstar, Athena Fidus and ESA Sentinels.
He is member of the International Academy of Astronautics.
He produced many studies and research papers in Avionics, Attitude Control, Orbit Control, Navigation, Satellite Systems and Applied Mathematics and authored the book ‘Flexible Spacecraft Dynamics, Control and Guidance’ for Springer in 2016.
