Joel André Ornstein
Biography
A global and strategic investor, a pioneer in the private equity and alternative asset management industries. He helped form The Carlyle Group in Europe thirty years ago.
Joël serves on multiple venture and asset manager boards, including Veea, a smart IoT/Edge Computing Platform as a Service (www.veea.com), Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, the breakthrough in high-speed transportation mode (www.hyperlooptt.com), Romulus Capital seed stage fund (www.romuluscap.com). He was a founding advisory board member of research and education centers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management Executive Boards; the M.I T. Golub Center for Finance & Policy; the M.I.T. Initiative on the Digital Economy.
Joël was a PhD fellow at M.I.T., holds a Science Master in Finance from the M.I.T. Sloan School, a Master in Business Administration from ESCP Business School.
