Luca D’Antonio

Received his Laurea in Telecommunications Engineering from University of Rome Tor Vergata in 1995, and entered TIM – Telecom Italia Mobile in 1996. He was TIM’s delegate in ETSI (European Telecommunications Standard Institute) and in 3GPP from 1997 to 2006, period in which he followed and contributed to the 3G standardization activity. From 2008 to 2018 he held positions in TIM with increasing responsibilities, inside the Radio Engineering and Network Development departments, and in particular he led the deployment of 4G mobile access network. Since November 2018 he is Strategy and Innovation Director in JMA Wireless, where he leads the activities related to 5G development, with particular focus on international standards bodies.
