Biography
Alessandro Bassano Director of the ZTE Cyber Security Lab and Head of Cyber Security Italy.
In ZTE since 2019, he has worked in Latin America, Russia, Asia and Europe ensuring, for many years, the maintenance of cyber security operations in critical infrastructures dedicated to the production and distribution of electricity.
He has gained experience in threat intelligence, malware analysis, reverse engineering and source code review in civil and industrial fields.
He has developed RTOS firmware for missile propulsion systems, designed SCADA / DCS control systems and encrypted telecommunication systems used in sensitive installations.
By acquiring an articulated competence in the cyber sector – achieved in thirty years of work experience, continuously updated through the research and study of new methods and new techniques – he currently teaches in the first level Master “Intelligence, Investigation and Security” organized by the LUMSA University From Rome.
He has a teaching position in “cyber security of mobile radio networks”, as part of the II level Master in Homeland Security “Systems, methods and tools for security and crisis management”, at UCBM University; he has lectured during the “Autumn School” at the SIOI (Italian Society for the International Organization of the United Nations) in Rome, he was also a speaker at the CyberSecurity360Summit in Palazzo Montecitorio.
He will hold master classes on cyber security in the “Risorgimento Digitale” project of Telecom Italia Mobile and is a speaker at the “5G Italy” international conference.
He has published articles in Italian national periodicals translated into various languages and in German and Spanish magazines and on the Economist (online); on Corriere delle Comunicazioni (online), on Funkschau-10/2020 (paper), on It-Daily (online), on It-auswahl.de (online), Portal der Wirtschaft (online), Bhalia (online), OMDIA ( online) etc.
